The Stryker® samaritan® PAD 360P is the fully automatic version of the PAD 350P. It is an automated external defibrillator (AED) that needs only to be attached to the patient and switched on. The original Italian text incorrectly describes it as semi-automatic.
Single-button operation is designed to be simple: the SAM 360P has only a power button, so the operator does not have to press a shock button when advised. Delivering a shock can be stressful for inexperienced users, who may fear injuring the patient or themselves. With fully automatic operation, the indicated shock is delivered without waiting for the user to press a button.
