At one-third the cost and weight of many other combat tourniquets, the SWAT-T™ is an essential medical item for any first-aid kit. The Blast® Bandage also includes a removable occlusive layer covering a 48 × 48 cm area, or it can be used to cover exposed abdominal contents while reducing heat and moisture loss. Velcro® control strips prevent the elastic roll from unwinding accidentally and keep the dressing secure during application. Multiple attachment points reduce slippage of the elastic wrap while it is being wound.
